Position Overview:
The Senior RFP Writer is part of the RFP team within Capital Group (CG) Global Client Services (GCS) organisation. The Senior RFP Writer drives new business growth and retention of CG’s existing clients by completing RFPs, DDQs and RFIs on CG’s organisation and investment strategies requested by the Europe and Asia clients and prospects.
Primary responsibilities:
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge levels of CG products, processes and teams and works independently to deliver high-quality complex RFPs, DDQs, and RFIs. Leads the end-to-end coordination process, ensuring responses are accurate, timely, and compliant with both internal standards and external requirements.
- Coordinates and leads kick-off calls to review request requirements and to gain a deeper understanding of the client’s needs.
- Partners with Sales teams and other internal groups (Product, ESG, Operations, Risk, Compliance) to craft compelling written content that articulates our investment philosophy and process across CG strategies and capabilities.
- Builds a strong relationship with the assigned regional Sales team(s) coverage to gain a deeper understanding of the client base, enabling the tailoring of narratives to the specific client/prospect.
- Leverages our internal content database (Qvidian) and proactively identifies opportunities to improve content, partnering with Content Managers to create and develop written content.
- Partners with Specialists and key stakeholders to develop responses for new products and capabilities, helping establish best practices and sharing knowledge with the team.
- Responds proactively to ad-hoc requests, demonstrating agility and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment.
- Leads, participates in, or acts as the subject matter expert for team projects, and collaborates with Managers/Specialists/Project Analysts to recommend improvements.
- Serves as a positive role model for the onshore and offshore team. Accountable for mentoring teammates by partnering to support their requests, applying experience in impactful peer reviews, and being available for guidance.
- Timely updates Qvidian request logs and the Service Now portal to ensure accurate reporting of the team’s deliverables.

- Strong written and verbal communication across diverse teams.
- Strong ability to collaborate and develop/maintain effective working relationships within the organisation at all levels.

- Demonstrates strong client focus and commercial awareness, acting as a strategic partner to the Client Group to drive product awareness and asset growth.
- Proactively and consistently identifies, assesses, responds to, and escalates risks encountered in daily activities.
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, good judgement, situational adaptability and keen analytical skills in areas of high complexity and ambiguity.
- In-depth understanding of investment strategies and portfolio statistics.
- Strong numerical and quantitative analysis skills, with the ability to analyse data and information.
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong project management skills – ability to organise and prioritise multiple deadlines and bring others into the process when necessary
- Ability to balance multiple stakeholders, negotiate skillfully, work together to agreed solution in time pressured environment
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to manage high work volumes across multiple assignments accurately, both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledgeable about current and emerging policies, practices, trends, and technologies relevant to the business, and proactively shares knowledge with the team.
- Shows curiosity and openness with emerging technologies and data-enabled tools, including responsible use of AI-assisted drafting where approved, to enhance efficiency and consistency, while continuing to build fluency in systems and processes that support the RFP function.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in RFP/DDQ response preparation within asset management or financial services.
- Experience with active ETFs, Solutions and/or private markets is desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in an additional language (other than English) would be advantageous but is not a requirement for the role.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
