Investment Management - Fixed Income Broad Markets - Portfolio Specialist - Analyst London
We are looking for a Fixed Income Portfolio Specialist to join our Broad Markets Fixed Income (BMFI) team within Morgan Stanley Investment Management. This is an Analyst-level role sitting within the investment team, offering the opportunity to service existing clients and support business development across a broad range of fixed income strategies. The role serves as the primary interface between the investment team and both internal and external stakeholders.

What will you be doing?
- Fully integrated in the investment team, developing a deep understanding of portfolio positions, market outlook, and investment themes.
- Represent the investment team as you engage with sales, client services, product development, operations, marketing, and other departments to help respond to client requests and raise net new assets.
- Participate in the production of client-facing collateral, including presentations, RFPs, and marketing materials.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders through written materials, calls, and in-person meetings.
- Analyse and problem-solve complex client queries and issues as they arise, ensuring timely resolution.
- Support, train, and mentor other members of the team.
What we’re looking for:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrable technical, analytical and problem-solving skills working with cross-functional teams, business development contacts and other stakeholders.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of dependability, independence, and attention to detail.
- A self-motivated problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks while maintaining high quality.

Skills that will help you in the role:
- Experience in the financial services industry, ideally in a fixed income or investment management environment.
- Professional qualifications such as IMC or CFA (or currently studying towards them).
- Familiarity with tools such as Bloomberg, Aladdin, MS Office, and Copilot AI tools.
- An ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages; programming skills are an advantage.
