Are you an experienced lending professional looking to move into a role where you can genuinely support ambitious businesses across the North West?
I am working with an established investment organisation with offices in Liverpool that deploys funding to SMEs, helping businesses access the finance they need to grow. Due to continued investment and increasing demand, they're looking to appoint an experienced Investment Manager to join their expanding debt team, offering a salary of £55,000 - £65,000 DOE.
This is not a trainee or developmental position. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, manage transactions independently and confidently assess lending opportunities from day one.
Investment Manager Role
You'll take ownership of debt transactions from initial enquiry through to completion, working with businesses, professional introducers and advisors across the North West. Typical funding sizes range from £100,000 to £1 million, supporting a broad range of established SMEs with tailored debt solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
