This role involves working as part of a team and would provide informative, high quality, sophisticated output, advice and mentorship tailored to senior partner needs, operating as an Operational Tax specialist. The main focus of the role will be on Investment Taxes for the Insurance & Wealth business.

We're looking to appoint an assistant manager on a 12-month fixed term contract. Your role will be to provide oversight of tax processes, completed by appointed Custodians, including receipt of overseas investment income net of treaty withholding tax rates, tax reporting and tax compliance processes for UK Open Ended Investment Companies (OEICs) and investment funds. These processes are undertaken by third party outsourcers, and the oversight work ensures that they are carried out to the required high standards and timescales as detailed in service level agreements, so that the funds' tax position is fully understood and controlled in an efficient manner.

You would also review withholding tax processes for territories and rates not covered by the outsourcing arrangements. This means you'll work closely with project teams, advisory teams and external advisors on developments affecting the investment portfolio, to grow our service and make valuable contributions for our customers by improving their return on investment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
