Investments Partnership Relationship Analyst
This experienced colleague-level role sits within the Relationship & Supplier Oversight Pillar and provides oversight of investment partnerships and entities to whom the platform provides services.
The role acts as the retained business owner for investment partner governance activities including contractual arrangements, fund onboarding approval, fund utilisation monitoring, AML review activities and relationship oversight across DFMs, bond providers and fund managers.
The role ensures that commercial arrangements remain appropriate, contractual commitments are fulfilled and investment propositions remain aligned to platform strategy and customer needs. To provide independent oversight and governance of investment partner relationships, ensuring contractual arrangements, onboarding activities and ongoing fund monitoring are effectively managed within the outsourced operating model.
The role is responsible for reviewing and approving non-standard asset onboarding requests, monitoring delivery of commercial commitments made by investment partners, and challenging partners where expected activity or value is not realised. The role provides assurance that investment partnerships are managed in accordance with platform policies, risk appetite, Consumer Duty expectations and Third-Party Risk Management requirements.
Key Work Level Accountabilities
- Oversee contractual arrangements with investment partners, DFMs and bond providers
- Lead commercial governance of investment partner relationships
- Review and approve non-standard investment assets prior to onboarding
- Monitor delivery against onboarding commitments and expected platform flows
- Maintain effective oversight of AML and due diligence activities relating to offshore assets
- Ensure investment partner relationships support good customer outcomes and platform strategy
- Maintain audit-ready evidence of onboarding decisions, monitoring activities and relationship governance
- Provide challenge and escalation where contractual expectations or commercial assumptions are not being met

Key Responsibilities for this role
Investment Partnership Oversight
- Act as relationship lead for DFMs, fund managers and bond providers
- Maintain regular governance and relationship reviews with investment partners
- Monitor service quality and responsiveness of investment partners
- Escalate relationship concerns and drive resolution activities
- Ensure investment partnerships remain aligned to strategic objectives
Contractual Governance
- Own oversight of contractual agreements and amendments relating to investment partnerships
- Lead review and challenge of contractual changes
- Coordinate with Legal and Procurement on contract updates
- Ensure contractual obligations, service expectations and commercial arrangements remain appropriate
- Maintain contractual inventories and governance records
Fund Onboarding Governance
- Review onboarding recommendations provided by the firm
- Approve onboarding of non-standard assets prior to implementation
- Ensure proposed assets align with platform onboarding criteria and risk appetite
- Challenge onboarding proposals where asset suitability is unclear
- Maintain evidence of onboarding decisions and approvals
Fund Monitoring & Commercial Oversight
- Monitor funds introduced onto the platform through investment partnerships
- Track actual flows against onboarding assumptions and expected commercial benefits
- Challenge investment partners where anticipated flows do not materialise
- Conduct periodic reviews of underutilised or dormant assets
- Recommend asset offboarding where there is insufficient justification for continued platform support
- Escalate material commercial or proposition concerns

AML & Due Diligence Oversight
- Review AML and due diligence documentation relating to offshore assets and investment partners
- Ensure documentation is complete and meets internal standards
- Challenge deficiencies and coordinate remediation
- Support compliance with platform onboarding requirements and TPRM expectations
- Maintain oversight records and approval evidence
EMT & Investment Data Oversight
- Oversee receipt and review of EMT information
- Escalate data quality issues and tolerance breaches
- Support fair value assessments and associated reporting requirements
- Ensure investment partner information remains accurate and complete
Governance, MI & Escalation
- Produce relationship and commercial oversight MI
- Maintain onboarding, relationship and monitoring dashboards
- Present relationship updates to governance forums
- Track actions and remediation activities through to completion
- Escalate emerging commercial, operational or customer outcome risks
Customer, Conduct & Consumer Duty Expectations
- Ensure investment partnerships support delivery of good customer outcomes
- Consider customer value and suitability when reviewing onboarding proposals
- Escalate risks arising from poor asset performance, lack of utilisation or inadequate partner support
- Support fair value assessments through effective oversight of partner relationships and data quality
- Ensure customer impact is considered during onboarding and offboarding decisions
Evidence & Assurance Expectations
- Maintain onboarding approval records
- Maintain contractual amendment and governance logs
- Maintain fund monitoring and utilisation reviews
- Maintain AML and due diligence review evidence
- Maintain relationship governance packs and meeting records
- Maintain documented challenge and escalation outcomes
- Ensure all records are audit and regulator ready
