Investor Attraction Manager
Investor Attraction Manager (London-based) – Gulf Region
About the Opportunity
A leading investment promotion and economic development organisation in the Gulf region is seeking an experienced Investor Attraction Manager to be based in London.
The role will focus on identifying, engaging, and attracting high-value foreign direct investment (FDI) opportunities from the UK and Europe into the GCC, supporting economic diversification, sector development, and long-term growth initiatives.
The successful candidate will collaborate with international investors, corporates, industry leaders, and ecosystem partners to promote investment opportunities, facilitate market entry discussions, and develop a pipeline of strategic investments across priority sectors.
Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Outreach:
- Identify and engage high-potential companies and investors across the UK and Europe.
- Develop and execute targeted investor attraction strategies aligned with priority industries.

Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives, investors, industry associations, and key stakeholders.
- Support navigational discussions with investor delegations and high-profile business leaders.

Pipeline & Intake Management:
- Generate, qualify, and manage a pipeline of investment opportunities.
- Evaluate business cases and investment proposals, providing Strategic insights and recommendations.

Market Intelligence & Insights:
- Conduct in-depth market intelligence and sector analysis to spot emerging trends and investment prospects.

Strategic Engagement & Coordination:
- Organise and support investor visits, meetings, presentations, and strategic engagement activities.
- Maintain a documented record of investor interactions and pipeline progress for reporting.

Reporting & Performance Tracking:
- Prepare market updates, reports, and investment attraction performance metrics.
Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, International Relations, or a related discipline.

10–15+ years of experience in:
- Investment attraction
- Foreign direct investment (FDI) management
- Business development
- Industry-specific strategy development
- Private equity/venture capital
- Investment banking
- Management consulting
- Corporate international expansion

Strong network within the UK business and investment ecosystems.

Proven ability to originate global investment opportunities and manage complex stakeholder engagements (both within and beyond designated GT sectors).

Commercial acumen to assess investment opportunities and evaluate business models.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with proven record at all levels (especially C-suites).

Advantage viable if prior experience includes corporate investor interactions or UK Government FDI-related projects.

- Familiarity with international investment trends, market entry strategies, and cross-border business environments.
Preferred Background
Experience in one or more of the following will be highly regarded:
- Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs)
- Economic Development Organisations
- Private Equity or Venture Capital
- Investment Banks
- Management Consulting Firms
- Corporate Development / International Expansion teams
- Sovereign Wealth Funds or Government Investment Entities
