Investor Relations Representative – Private Equity / Alternatives
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Investor Relations Representative to support our growing private equity and alternative investments platform. This role will serve as a key point of contact for investors, delivering high-quality service across the full lifecycle of fund activity, including onboarding, capital events, reporting, and ongoing relationship management.
The ideal candidate brings approximately 5 years of experience in investor services, fund administration, or transfer agency, with a strong understanding of private markets operations and investor expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the investor onboarding process end-to-end, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Act as a primary contact for investors, responding to inquiries related to capital calls, distributions, fund performance, and account activity
- Ensure a high standard of responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalism in all communications
- Coordinate and process capital calls and distribution notices
- Support subscription, redemption (if applicable), and transfer activities
- Liaise with compliance teams to resolve KYC/AML issues and ensure timely account activation
- Distribute investor communications, including capital call notices, distribution notices, financial statements, and quarterly reports
- Assist in preparing client-facing materials and responding to ad hoc reporting requests
- Maintain accurate investor records in transfer agency or CRM systems
- Reconcile investor data and support periodic audits or internal reviews
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve communication, and reduce operational risk
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, internal controls, and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- ~5 years of experience in investor services, fund administration, private equity, hedge funds, or alternative investments
- Solid understanding of private equity fund structures, capital call/distribution processes, and investor lifecycle
- Familiarity with KYC/AML requirements and investor onboarding workflows
- Experience working with institutional investors, family offices, and/or high-net-worth individuals

Skills & Competencies
- Demonstrated client servicing expertise with clear, professional, and effective verbal and written communication
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with investor servicing or transfer agency platforms (e.g., eFront and Intralinks Data Room is a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with private equity, credit, hedge funds, and other alternative asset classes
- Exposure to fund accounting or financial reporting
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to private funds
