Are you a people person? Do you enjoy bringing people together and working alongside communities to support their voices being heard to drive the design and development of healthcare services? Are you passionate about patient, carer, family and community involvement and coproduction?

If the answer is yes, an exciting and unique role is available to people with lived/living experience of receiving or caring for someone in receipt of mental health, community health, or children’s healthcare in North-East London or Essex. The role will appeal to people who enjoy supporting others and making a real difference to people’s lives. This dynamic role will build on an individual's personal and professional skills, knowledge, and expertise to work across two localities in ensuring the patient, carer, and family voice is the heart of all we do at NELFT.

Job Description

  • Work alongside patients, carers, staff, and community groups to make sure lived experience shapes how services improve.
  • Plan and coordinate engagement activities, forums, surveys, and feedback sessions.
  • Build strong relationships with service users, carers, clinical teams, and community partners.
  • Support patient and carer groups, including meeting coordination, actions, and follow-up.
  • Analyse feedback and share insights, reports, and best practice to drive service improvements.
  • Provide advice and support to teams on involvement, engagement, and patient experience.
  • Attend meetings and events, representing the Involvement Team when needed.
  • Support governance processes, audits, and reporting requirements.
  • Travel across the Trust to help ensure every voice is heard and valued.
  • Help deliver the NHS 10-year plan to ensure the patient and public voices are heard in the decision-making process within all NHS organisations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
