About The Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced iOS Developer to join our team on a contractual basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, Agile environment, contributing to the development of high-quality mobile applications for a global enterprise client. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining iOS applications that deliver engaging and intuitive user experiences. Working closely with cross-functional teams including analysts, testers, and designers, you will play a key role in shaping the digital products that drive our client's digital transformation initiatives. This position offers a hybrid working model based in Glasgow, requiring one day per week onsite, providing a flexible yet collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in iOS development with a proven track record of delivering robust mobile applications. Essential qualifications include expertise in Swift programming and experience with modern iOS development architectures such as MVVM. Familiarity with UI frameworks like SwiftUI and UIKit, as well as experience with CoreData or similar local persistence solutions, is required. Candidates should have a good understanding of RESTful API integration and version control systems like Git. Knowledge of the App Store deployment process, including provisioning profiles and certificates, is also necessary. Additionally, experience working within Agile/Scrum teams and familiarity with reactive programming concepts such as RxSwift or Combine are highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining features across iOS applications
  • Ensuring high-quality code and optimal performance
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver digital products that are visually engaging and user-friendly
  • Building intuitive mobile experiences that meet stakeholder and customer needs
  • Writing clean, scalable, and well-tested Swift code
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across digital platforms
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance performance, usability, and development processes
  • Contributing to technical discussions, architecture decisions, and code reviews
  • Working collaboratively with analysts, testers, and designers to ensure the timely delivery of solutions aligned with project objectives
  • Supporting the delivery of digital objectives through technical innovation and best practice engineering
