iOS Engineer (Contract) / Must hold active SC Clearance | Outside IR35
Rate: £400 - £425 (negotiable)
Contract length: Initial 4 months (with strong possibility for extension)
Location: Fully Remote (1 day onsite per month for key collaboration sessions)
We're supporting a fast-growing technology consultancy as they continue to expand their engineering capability, delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes across some of the UK's most important public sector organisations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building and enhancing native iOS applications using Swift.
- Developing clean, scalable and maintainable mobile solutions.
- Working closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and cloud services.
- Collaborating with Product and Design teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Contributing to architecture, code quality and engineering best practices.
- Improving CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
- Investigating new technologies and AI-assisted development tooling to improve engineering productivity.

What We're Looking For
- Strong commercial experience developing native iOS applications.
- Excellent knowledge of Swift.
- Experience building production mobile applications at scale.
- Strong understanding of modern iOS architecture and engineering best practices.
- Comfortable working within collaborative Agile engineering teams.
- Experience working within product-led organisations.
- Someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges.

Nice to Have
- SwiftUI experience.
- Experience with CI/CD for mobile applications.
- AWS or cloud-native application experience.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tooling such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code or Codex.
- Experience working within high-growth technology product businesses.
