About The Role
We are seeking a talented iOS Product Engineer to join our dynamic team at Wise. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing and expanding the Send Experience within our mobile application, which is a critical component of our platform that handles billions of dollars in transactions each month. You will be responsible for designing and developing intuitive, engaging, and frictionless user interfaces that make international money transfers feel as simple as sending a message. Your work will directly impact over 10 million customers weekly, shaping the future of recipient discovery, local payment integrations, and the overall app experience. As an integral part of our team, you will collaborate closely with product managers and designers from the conception phase through to deployment, ensuring that every feature is crafted with precision and purpose. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on highly impactful projects that blend creativity with engineering excellence, pushing the boundaries of what a mobile fintech app can achieve.

Qualifications
We understand that finding a perfect match is rare, and we welcome candidates who meet most of the following criteria and are eager to learn the rest:
- Proven experience in building mobile app experiences that users love, with a strong portfolio to showcase your work.
- Expertise in Swift, with a solid understanding of iOS development best practices.
- A keen eye for detail and craftsmanship, noticing subtle nuances in transitions, layouts, and interactions.
- Ability to think from the customer’s perspective, addressing real problems and proposing innovative solutions rather than just completing tickets.
- Familiarity with architectural patterns such as MVVM or VIPER, and openness to exploring others.
- Experience writing testable, maintainable code, and a good understanding of REST APIs and backend integration.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and sharing your ideas confidently.
- Ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative environment that elevates team performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop user interfaces that feel local and intuitive across diverse markets worldwide.
- Contribute to the future of recipient discovery features, including search functionalities and QR code scanning.
- Enhance the capabilities of our iOS app through thoughtful transitions, responsive interfaces, and micro-interactions that delight users.
- Own features from initial technical design through to deployment and monitoring real-world usage.
- Collaborate with a team of over 60 mobile engineers to improve user experience and uphold high standards of code quality.
- Challenge existing assumptions and propose innovative approaches to improve the app’s performance and usability.
- Participate actively in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure robustness and maintainability.
