Position Overview

As an IoT Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying IT infrastructures and servicing hardware across multiple manufacturing industries for global OEMs. The immediate service area for this position is England, however, you will also be part of a larger team that is responsible for technical deployment and maintenance across Europe. All product training will be provided by eMoldino, however, only technically qualified applicants will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Deployment & Implementation: Installation and configuration of sensors, terminals, and related hardware, ensuring successful deployment in manufacturing environments. Aptitude for work-related travel is mandatory as projects can last up to 3-5 weeks across the UK and/or Europe.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide on-site or remote technical support to site personnel, particularly in the UK market, diagnosing and resolving hardware issues efficiently.
  • Data Administration: Clean, import, and harmonize OEM tooling data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise between the site personnel, Implementation, and Sales teams to ensure alignment and seamless communication.
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from the field to help improve deployment processes.

Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or a technical certification and/or a polytechnic degree.
  • Experience: Relevant field service or hardware installation experience in industries such as telecommunications, IoT, energy, manufacturing, or automotive is also valued.
  • Language(s):
    • English (Native Speaker or C1-level) The working language of the company, our clients, and site personnel.
  • Technical Aptitude: Highly proficient in technical procedures, such as troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and database management.
  • Management Tools: Knowledge of program script writing (python, google apps, etc.), 3D modeling or design applications is highly valued.
  • Aptitude: Physically capable of working on-site in a manufacturing environment and installing the IoT product (including site management and alignment with site personnel).

Duration

This is a 12-month contract offer in which the first 90 days will be a training and probationary period.
