About the Role
A leading global organisation is seeking an IoT Specialist to join its growing Digital Buildings Engineering team. This exciting opportunity involves playing a key role in delivering enterprise-scale smart building and IoT programs, helping to drive the digital transformation of a large property portfolio.
Working cross-functionally with stakeholders, you will take ownership of:
- Building onboarding, data integration, and technical governance
- Ensuring high-quality building data is connected to cloud-based platforms and advanced analytics solutions
As the IoT Specialist, you will act as the technical lead across:
- Onboarding and deployment lifecycle for connected building technologies
- Integration of BMS with cloud platforms while upholding data quality, governance, and compliance standards
- Validation, structuring, and modeling of building data for cloud-based solutions
- Coordination with stakeholders (engineering, facilities management, vendors)
- Vendor management, documentation, deployment planning, and handover support

Responsibilities
- Oversee building data preparation, validation, and alignment with digital building standards
- Collaborate with technology vendors, project stakeholders, and engineering teams
- Support testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployment planning
- Ensure successful platform handovers through structured validation and documentation
- Coordinate technical vendor coordination, documentation, and deployment logistics
Required Experience
- Delivered large-scale Smart Buildings, Building Management Systems (BMS), IoT, or digital building integration projects
- Deep understanding of building controls, automation systems, and connected technologies
- Familiarity with BACnet protocols and building communication protocols
- Experience with cloud-connected building platforms, digital engineering, or building analytics solutions
- Proven ability to coordinate technical vendors and manage ambiguity across stakeholders
- Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings, mechanical schedules, and technical documentation
- Experience in testing, deployment-handover, and operational readiness activities
- Strong project coordination, documentation, and technical governance skills
