IoT Specialist (BMS) – £90,000 Per Annum – London Based
A leading global organisation is looking for an IoT Specialist to join its growing Digital Buildings Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering enterprise-scale smart building and IoT programmes, helping to drive the digital transformation of a large property portfolio. Working across multiple stakeholders, you will take ownership of building onboarding, data integration, and technical governance, ensuring high-quality building data is successfully connected to cloud-based digital platforms and advanced analytics solutions.
As an IoT Specialist, you will act as the technical lead throughout the onboarding and deployment lifecycle for connected building technologies. Working closely with engineering teams, facilities management, technology vendors, and project stakeholders, you will ensure building management systems (BMS) are integrated efficiently while maintaining high standards of data quality, governance, and compliance.

You will oversee the validation and preparation of building data before deployment into cloud-based digital platforms, ensuring information is accurately structured, modelled, and aligned with established digital building standards. You will also:
- Coordinate vendor activities
- Manage technical documentation
- Support deployment planning
- Facilitate successful platform handovers through testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Required Experience
- Experience delivering Smart Buildings, Building Management Systems (BMS), Digital Buildings, or IoT integration projects
- Strong understanding of building controls, automation systems, and connected building technologies
- Experience working with BACnet and building communication protocols
- Knowledge of cloud-connected building platforms, digital engineering, or building analytics solutions
- Experience coordinating technical vendors and managing multiple stakeholders
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, mechanical schedules, and technical documentation
- Experience supporting testing, deployment, and operational handover activities
- Excellent project coordination and technical documentation skills
