Could You Be Our Next Technical Trainer?

About the Role

At Marq-One, we support manufacturers across the UK with expert IPC training in inspection, assembly, rework, and repair.

To help increase training capacity and meet rising demand, we’re expanding our team and seeking an experienced Technical Trainer – Electronics/IPC. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape training programmes, deliver engaging technical training, and mentor both engineers and operators. The position allows progression towards Master Trainer status.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging technical training in electronics and IPC standards
  • Coach and mentor engineers and operators
  • Share best practices with customers
  • Help shape and improve training programmes

Requirements

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620)
  • Hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, inspection, or quality assurance

Training & Training Development

  • Proven experience delivering technical training, workshops, or coaching sessions in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Ability to assess skill gaps, design structured training plans, and evaluate learner competency through testing, observation, and feedback

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and accessibly

Certifications

  • Preferred: IPC Master Trainer (MIT) or IPC Certified Trainer (CIT)
  • Considered: IPC Certified Specialist (CIS), with an obligation to pursue CIT qualification promptly

Role Details

  • Location: Remote-based with travel required around the UK for customer engagement
  • Type: Full-time role
