IPS Team Leader – Leicester (Full-time, Salary: £33,000+ depending on experience)

Role Overview

Salary: £33,000–$ dependent on experience

Location: Leicester-based with travel to community locations as required

About the Role

As the IPS Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead, supervise, and coach a team of Employment Specialists delivering Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services across Leicester.
  • Ensure services meet IPS fidelity standards, contractual KPIs, and quality requirements.
  • Drive employment-focused support for participants, embedding person-centred values.

Key oversight areas:

  • Psychological health support via NHS links (e.g., talking therapies)
  • Collaborations with Jobcentre Plus, Council, and VCSE organisations.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Line-manage & mentor IPS Employment Specialists (supervision, performance reviews, coaching).
  • Effective workforce management (caseloads, performance, adherence to IPS standards).

Service Delivery & Compliance

  • Chair team meetings, reflective practice, and operational planning.
  • Monitor fidelity to IPS standards and organisational procedures.
  • Escalate employer concerns; resolve conflicts contemporarily.

Stakeholder Relations

  • Build professional links with (but not limited to):
    • NHS, Jobcentre Plus, local authorities, employers, and VCSE/third sector organisations.
  • Manage safeguarding, quality, and operational risks across the team.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

✅ Supervisory or managerial experience in an employability, IPS/mental health support, or similar field. ✅ Demonstrable engagement experience with participants facing pre-employment barriers (e.g., neurodiversity, severe AMS, homelessness). ✅ Skilled in records management & CRM usage.

Desirable

🔹 Experience in performance-driven/results-based environments. 🔹 Confidence in negotiating with employers and external partners.
