ISO 15189 Quality Manager & Auditor
Location: Sussex SARC & Additional Locations (Kent SARC, TV SARCs, Surrey SARC)
About the Role
Frequency & Hours:
- Full-time contract: 40 hours per week, flexible but as-needed where required
- Hybrid work model: Up to 2 days home working per week
- On-site presence essential
Salary & Benefits:
- £40,000 p.a., rising to £53,000 upon successful completion of probation period

Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Lead and ensure ISO 15189 compliance across clinical and forensic services, integrating best practice into daily operations
- Conduct and supervise internal and external audits, ensuring rigorous oversight and fostering continuous service improvement
- Design and implement a risk-based quality governance framework, aligning operational delivery with regulatory demands and progressive引用 by external bodies
- Analyse audit findings, incident trends, and KPI benchmarks to drive evidence-based improvements
- Support teams to reduce unnecessary variation, optimise workflows, and uphold the highest clinical standards
- Act as the Quality Management System (QMS) and audit best-practice subject matter expert (SME)
- Deliver isoformatted training-development on:
- ISO 15189 principles
- Audit preparedness
- Quality process ownership for staff at all levels

Inspire and coach operational and clinical leaders toward a “right-first-time” mentality Contribute to organisational learning through robust risk management and incident reporting protocols
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Governance and Quality to ensure consistent adherence to clinical and regulatory benchmarks across all sites.
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience applying ISO 15189 standards or equivalent systems
- Strong expertise in clinical audit compliance and Quality Management Systems
- Healthcare or regulated sector background in:
- Forensic care
- Laboratory services (preferably forensic-focused)
- Clinical governance/quality roles
- Ability to translate complex data into strategic and service-level enhancements
- Experience influencing cross-departmental teams across multiple locations
- Effective communication skills for training, mentoring, and constructive challenge
- Proven ability to mentor cross-functional colleagues
- Evidence of audit training (course or qualifications; details provided on CV will be accepted)

Professional Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence & access to reliable transportation, as frequent site travel is mandatory
- Enhanced DBS check required (sponsored by employer)
- Compliance with:

- Infection Control Guidelines
- Health & Safety standards
Desirable:
- Chartered Lead Auditor certification or equivalent
- Experience within SARCs, Correction Facility Healthcare, or justice-sector settings
- Knowledge and application of:
- CQC standards
- Regulator-specific guidance beyond ISO 15189
