Dispute Resolution Solicitor / Legal Executive (NQ to 5+ PQE)

We are seeking a Dispute Resolution Solicitor/Legal Executive (NQ to 5+ years PQE), specialising in a mixed caseload, with a focus on property litigation and professional negligence, to join our Leeds office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice to clients, taking instructions and managing matters independently where appropriate.
  • Lead cases from inception to conclusion, ensuring high-quality outcomes while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Prepare litigation documents, draft pleadings, and manage all procedural aspects of property litigation and professional negligence claims.
  • Ensure accurate time recording and billing for all allocated matters.
  • Act as a point of contact with clients while liaising with senior colleagues, barristers, and other professionals.
  • Stay compliant with professional conduct rules for solicitors.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and accountability for managing a busy caseload with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Foster open communication with clients, ensuring clarity in case strategies and progress updates.
  • Offer ideas for process improvements and new technologies to enhance efficiency.

Person Specification

We are looking for:

  • A fully qualified Solicitor (NQ to 5+ years PQE) or Legal Executive specialising in litigation, dispute resolution, property litigation, or contentious probate.
  • A highly self-motivated, professional individual who takes initiative.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to consult, advise, and build trust.
  • Proven track record in case management, from commencement to resolution.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage complex caseloads.
  • Excellent communication and strong relationship-building skills, both within the team and with clients.
  • Working knowledge of current procedural rules and solicitors’ conduct regulations.
  • Willingness to support and assist senior members of the team when necessary.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to operate independently and on your own initiative.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding client service and achieving successful outcomes on time and within budget.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salaried position: £45,000 upwards (commensurate with experience) + generous performance bonus scheme.
  • Hybrid working: 60% office-based, 40% remote, with the option to work in the office full-time after an initial training period.
