Are you passionate about customer service? Do you thrive in a busy working environment, always looking for the next challenge? Do you like variety in your work?

At Manchester Metropolitan University, we're looking for a committed, enthusiastic individual with solid technical and customer service skills to join our Hardware & Logistics team within the Directorate of IT & Digital.

About The Department

IT & Digital is central to delivering the University's core goals and the experience MMU offers to both professional colleagues and students. We are committed to developing and maintaining flexible, serviceable, and scalable services that reflect the changing needs of our growing University.

About The Team

Working within Hardware & Logistics, you will be the face of IT & Digital at the University. Our Face-to-Face service is often a new staff member's first interaction with IT, and the value of a good first impression cannot be understated. Hardware & Logistics also deliver change projects across the University, including office moves, commissioning new IT labs, and upgrading existing IT within teaching spaces. We are also an integral part of capital (new-build) projects and other major University projects.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
