IT and Data Protection Manager

As the IT and Data Protection Manager at Athena Care Homes, you will be your organisation’s first internal point of contact for IT support needs. You must efficiently resolve or escalate technical queries in a timely and professional manner.

About Athena Care Homes

A family-owned, award-winning organisation, Athena Care Homes operates seven residential nursing homes across East Anglia. Our core values are rooted in care, compassion, and authenticity—whether supporting residents and families, fostering team growth, or driving continuous improvement.

About the Role

The IT and Data Protection Manager will deliver high-quality IT support across our homes and central teams, ensuring staff have reliable access to essential systems and technologies for exceptional care and operations. This multi-faceted role combines:

  • Technical support (access, systems, devices)
  • Systems administration (accounts, licensing, inventory)
  • Supplier management & digital transformation
  • Cyber security coordination
  • Data protection leadership (compliance with GDPR and sectoral standards)

You will act as Athena’s Data Protection Officer, maintaining compliance with cyber security policies, regulatory audits (e.g., Cyber Essentials, NHS DSPT, PCI DSS), and industry certifications.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
