About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated IT Application Support professional to join our team at BAE Critical Skills. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the platforms within the HR Portfolio, ensuring seamless service operations across multiple time zones. Your expertise will be crucial in managing end-to-end support for enterprise applications, resolving operational issues, and collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality IT services. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your technical skills will directly contribute to the efficiency and security of our HR systems and broader IT landscape.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in enterprise application support and administration, with a strong understanding of supporting technologies such as Active Directory, ServiceNow, or similar platforms. A solid background in IT frameworks like ITIL or CompTIA is essential, along with awareness of cybersecurity standards such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, or Cyber Essentials+. Experience working with provisioning partners and delivering unified services is highly desirable. Candidates should also have familiarity with Agile and Release management principles to effectively manage product lifecycle and improvements. A proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end support for HR Portfolio applications, including engaging with vendors and stakeholders to resolve operational issues efficiently.
- Maintain and enhance cybersecurity posture through regular assurance and governance reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Lead response efforts during major incidents, driving service restoration and conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Support deployment systems, including ServiceNow, by managing updates, hotfixes, and system configurations across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with administrators, developers, and product owners to shape the technology strategy, improve functionality, and deliver value to end users.
- Develop, document, and maintain Service Operations procedures to ensure system uptime and meet SLA targets.
- Participate in a support rota covering multiple time zones, including occasional outside normal hours support to ensure continuous service delivery.
