IT Application Lead Required for Edinburgh-Based Organisation
IT Application Lead required to join a leading Edinburgh-based organisation undergoing an exciting digital transformation programme. This is a key leadership role responsible for the organisation's enterprise application landscape, leading a specialist team while driving innovation, governance, and continual improvement across a modern Microsoft technology estate.

The Role
You'll take ownership of the organisation's enterprise IT applications, ensuring they remain secure, reliable, well-governed, and continually evolving to meet changing business needs.

This role combines technical leadership with people management and application governance. You'll lead a specialist applications team while taking ownership of a modern Microsoft application estate centred around Dynamics CRM, Power Platform, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365, helping shape standards, oversee change, and identify opportunities to improve the way technology supports the wider organisation.
A key part of the role will be driving innovation through the Microsoft ecosystem, making the most of Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure services to automate processes, improve user experience, and deliver new digital capabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on technical knowledge with leadership, governance, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and developing a specialist applications team, supporting performance, collaboration, and professional development
- Owning and continually improving a Microsoft enterprise application estate including Dynamics CRM, Power Platform, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365
- Driving the adoption of Power Platform and low-code solutions to automate processes and improve business efficiency
- Chairing architecture and change governance forums, helping shape application standards and ensuring technology changes are delivered effectively
- Working closely with wider IT teams to deliver integrated technology solutions
- Embedding security, governance, and data management best practice across enterprise applications
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners to successfully deliver technology initiatives

What They're Looking For
- Strong experience administering and supporting enterprise applications, particularly Dynamics CRM and the Microsoft Power Platform
- Experience designing, developing, or administering Power Apps, Power Automate, and wider low-code solutions
- Good understanding of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft 365, and modern cloud technologies
- Experience leading or mentoring technical teams within an enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of application governance, security, architecture, and change management
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A passion for continuous improvement, automation, and driving digital transformation through Microsoft technologies
The Offer
You'll receive a salary of £55,000-£70,000, a strong benefits package, and hybrid working with 2 days per week in a modern Edinburgh city centre office.
