IT Applications Project Manager - Clinics | Remote | 12 month FTC | Competitive Salary + Comprehensive Benefits
Job Summary
The IT Application Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of healthcare IT application projects. This role manages application requirements, design, build, testing, and deployment while ensuring alignment with clinical, operational, and regulatory needs. The ideal candidate has strong project management skills, experience working with healthcare systems, and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full application lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and Early life support (ELS)
- Lead the full SAP application lifecycle including requirements, design and build, UAT, QA testing, and implementation
- Lead other essential applications lifecycle including requirements, design and build, UAT, QA testing, and implementation
- Coordinate with SAP functional and technical teams during solution design and build
- Liaise with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to collect, document, and manage application requirements
- Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors during application design and build phases
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies
- Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and sign-off
- Coordinate and support Quality Assurance (QA) testing to ensure applications meet functional, technical, and regulatory standards
- Ensure applications comply with healthcare regulations and standards (Information governance, data privacy, security requirements)
- Facilitate project meetings, status reporting, and stakeholder communications
- Attend quarterly PI planning and readiness with PMO
- Identify issues and risks early and drive timely resolution
- Support change management, training coordination, and go-live readiness
- Monitor post-implementation performance and manage enhancements or fixes as needed
- Adhere to project timelines and standards

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the healthcare sector
- Proven experience managing application development and implementation projects
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Hands-on experience managing UAT and QA testing processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate clinical and business needs into technical requirements
