About the role

Hanoto Technology Ltd is looking for an IT Apprentice to join our technical support team on a full-time apprenticeship.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced IT professionals, providing first-line technical support to our business clients while completing an industry-recognised IT qualification.

This is a practical, customer-facing role involving the investigation and resolution of day-to-day IT issues. You will gain experience across computer hardware, software, Microsoft 365, cloud services, networking, cybersecurity, and modern business IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

  • Responding to first-line IT support requests from business clients
  • Logging, updating, and managing support tickets
  • Diagnosing and resolving common hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Supporting users with Microsoft 365 applications and services
  • Setting up computers, user accounts, email accounts, and other workplace technology
  • Installing and configuring hardware, software, and peripheral devices
  • Assisting with device maintenance, updates, and security checks
  • Supporting basic networking, Wi-Fi, and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Providing technical assistance remotely, by telephone, and in person
  • Escalating more complex technical issues to senior members of the team
  • Maintaining accurate records of support work and technical solutions
  • Following company procedures relating to cybersecurity, data protection, and client confidentiality
  • Assisting with client projects, equipment installations, and on-site support where required
  • Completing apprenticeship coursework, training, and assessments alongside the role

Previous professional IT experience is not required, although personal, academic, or voluntary experience with computers and technology would be beneficial.
