About The Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Asset & Procurement Team Leader to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the operational delivery of IT procurement, asset management and inventory functions across the business.

Leading a small team, you will ensure all IT assets are effectively purchased, tracked, maintained and disposed of throughout their lifecycle. You will play a key role in improving asset governance, supplier management, stock accuracy and operational efficiency across our UK showrooms, manufacturing sites and Head Office locations.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and experience managing IT assets within a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

This role is based at our head office in Barton upon Humber.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach and develop the IT Procurement, Asset and Inventory team.
  • Manage team priorities, performance and operational KPIs.
  • Oversee IT procurement activities including hardware, software, services and consumables.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring value for money and service quality.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset records and ensure effective lifecycle management.
  • Develop and improve asset management policies, processes and governance controls.
  • Lead asset audits across showrooms, manufacturing sites and Head Office locations.
  • Manage stock levels, inventory processes and hardware deployment activities.
  • Produce reports covering procurement, supplier performance, asset compliance and stock accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs and increase operational efficiency.
  • Support IT projects including technology rollouts and new site deployments.

About You

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Previous experience managing IT asset, procurement, inventory or IT operations functions.
  • Experience leading and developing a team within an operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management and governance.
  • Experience managing suppliers, procurement processes and financial controls.
  • Experience maintaining asset registers and inventory systems.
  • Strong analytical, reporting and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with ITSM, procurement or asset management platforms.
  • Experience within retail, manufacturing, logistics or multi-site environments would be advantageous.
  • ITIL, Asset Management or Procurement qualifications would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of software licensing, compliance and tools such as ServiceNow, HaloITSM, Ivanti, Lansweeper or similar would be beneficial.
