IT Audit and SOX Lead – London - £800pd (inside IR35) – 6 months
We are currently working with an insurance company in London that is actively recruiting for an IT Audit and SOX Lead to join on a 6-month contract.
The role will be fundamental in supporting design and implementation of IT SOX as well as related controls and key business initiatives. The role will require expertise across IT governance, compliance, control design and audit requirements.
This is a hybrid role with three days per week on-site.
Key responsibilities:
Building strong relationships with key stakeholders across Technology, Finance and Audit Ensuring robust IT controls and supporting SOX compliance Providing expertise and leadership across IT SOC and Audit as well as IT General Controls Maintaining ownership of IT control framework, ensuring effective design and documentation Acting as the first point of contact in the business for SOX compliance Working closely with Process Owners to ensure accuracy across IT Application Controls Overseeing IT Audit activities, including planning and resolution of any issues Ensuring IT Control deficiencies are identified and resolved in agreed timelines Delivering reports and insights to senior stakeholders on SOX implementation, audit outcomes and related matters

Expertise in SOC 404 ITGC controls and ITACs Extensive COBIT, ITIL, NIST and COSO knowledge and experience The ability to effectively coordinate remediation and control improvements Strong stakeholder management skills, both with technical and non-technical teams Proven track record in global, multi-system environments Experience working in highly regulated environments
