IT Change Consultant
At Clear Group, change isn’t something that happens in the background. It’s constant, visible, and business-critical.
We grow by bringing businesses together - new offices, new people, new systems. And when that happens, everything needs to work from day one.
That’s what this role is all about.
This is an initial 4-month FTC, based in our Leicester office, with plenty of hands-on involvement during a key period of delivery.
You’ll be part of the team that makes sure when a new office opens or a team moves, people walk in, log on, pick up the phone, join a call and just get on with their day.
No disruption. No confusion. No loss of momentum.
Because when systems don’t work, business stops.
Where you fit
You’ll sit within our Change the Business (CTB) team the group responsible for delivering some of the most visible, high-impact work across IT.
They’re the team behind:
- Office moves and new site launches
- Technology rollouts
- Change programmes tied to acquisitions and growth
It’s a team that operates right in the middle of the business - working alongside broking teams, IT specialists, and suppliers making sure everything lands properly.
It’s busy. Priorities shift. Expectations are high.
But it’s also a place where you can point to something and say, “I delivered that.”

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What your day-to-day will look like
Some days you’ll be planning and coordinating:
- Working through the detail of an upcoming office move
- Making sure everything from laptops to meeting rooms to network cabling is lined up and ready
- Tracking multiple workstreams and keeping delivery on course
Other days, you’ll be right in the middle of delivery:
- On-site during a move or go-live
- Troubleshooting issues and making sure they’re resolved quickly
- Acting as the link between technical teams and the people who just need things to work
And throughout it all, you’ll be:
- Keeping stakeholders informed, calm, and confident
- Spotting risks before they become problems
- Finding better ways to deliver the next project
What success looks like
Success here is simple to describe but not easy to deliver:
- An office move happens and the business barely notices
- People log in on day one and everything works
- Issues are solved quickly, often before others even realise they existed
- Stakeholders trust you because you consistently deliver
It’s not about ticking off tasks. It’s about owning outcomes.
This role suits someone who enjoys being in the middle of delivery not watching from the edges.
You’ll probably recognise yourself in this:

Get help with your application
Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
- You’ve supported IT change, project delivery, or workplace technology
- You’re comfortable dealing with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- You don’t wait to be told what to do you spot problems and fix them
- You stay organised even when there are multiple moving parts
- You take pride in getting things over the line, not just getting them started
And importantly you’re comfortable with pace.
Because this isn’t a steady-state environment. Things move, change, and evolve quickly.
This role comes with moments of intensity especially during office moves, integrations, and key delivery phases.
At times, you’ll need to be more site-based. At times, priorities will shift quickly. At times, you’ll need to step in and just make things happen.
That’s the nature of the work and also what makes it rewarding.
If you’re someone who likes seeing tangible outcomes, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and takes real ownership of delivery - we’d love to hear from you.
