Job Description
We're looking for an IT Commercial Director to join our IT team.
Location: Flexible - remote working available, with occasional travel to the Rushden and London offices required.
Hours: Agile working based on operational needs - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Commercial Director to take the lead on our IT supplier relationships and commercial performance. You'll be at the heart of ensuring our IT contracts deliver real value, protect our commercial interests, and support our digital ambitions. This is a strategic role where you'll shape how we work with our IT partners, drive cost efficiency, and maintain strong governance across our supplier estate. Working closely with senior stakeholders across IT and the wider business, you'll ensure our supplier relationships are transparent, effective, and continuously improving.

Responsibilities
As an IT Commercial Director, you'll be working within the IT leadership team, supporting them in delivering strategic commercial outcomes across our IT supplier portfolio. Your day to day will include:
- Leading our IT commercial and sourcing strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational values and goals
- Managing and negotiating with key suppliers to secure best value whilst mitigating inflationary pressures
- Overseeing contract compliance and performance across all enterprise IT contracts
- Providing expert commercial input into IT-related business projects involving new or amended contractual arrangements
- Building collaborative supplier partnerships that deliver mutual value and continuous service improvement
Requirements
This role of IT Commercial Director is great for you if:
- You have proven senior leadership experience in IT supplier and commercial management within a complex, multi-vendor environment
- You bring strong experience of developing and operating commercial, governance, and performance frameworks
- You have a demonstrable track record of delivering cost savings while balancing value, quality, and service
- You have demonstrable experience working with outsourced IT solution providers and driving excellence
- You possess strong negotiation skills, with the ability to influence outcomes at executive and supplier board level
- You have solid financial and budgetary expertise, including forecasting, spend control, and contribution to business cases
