- Help 200 businesses use technology effectively.
- Design sustainable ICT infrastructures for 100 new schools and commercial buildings.
- Nurture the ICT resources and aspirations of 33,000 schoolchildren.

The Role
We are seeking an IT Education Engineer to join our growing team at Nexus. In this position, you will deliver exceptional customer service to our schools while providing high-quality IT technical support. Ideal candidates will have— or currently hold—experience as an IT Technician in a school environment, enabling strong familiarity with school-specific apps and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of IT incidents, proactively resolving issues and making reference to your line manager for prioritisation.
- Maintain a holistic focus on service delivery, from first point of contact to completion.
- Support the team in establishing a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor service impact on business-as-usual (BAU) activities.
- Accurately document IT services, supporting both local and remote teams.
- Ensure timely support responses, adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and objectives.

Work Arrangement
- 3 days per week spent onsite at a Nottingham-based school.
- 2 days per week working remotely or visiting other schools (primarily in the Midlands/Nottingham area).
- Travel flexibility is required due to varying school locations.
The Successful Candidate
You must meet the following criteria:
- Strong Level 2 IT experience (advanced networking, troubleshooting, computer hardware knowledge, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft technologies (Windows, Active Directory, etc.).
- Relevant experience in a technical support or IT service delivery role, preferably within schools, academies, or MATs (Multi-Academy Trusts).
- Willingness to learn bespoke school software systems.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and document processes clearly.
- Ability to adhere to the following working hours—8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (onsite).

- Salary: £33,000–£35,000 per annum (depending on experience).
