Working Hours:
Monday – Friday; 9:00 to 17:00 (one hour break), 35 hours per week
Purpose of the job:
To provide ICT support services and maintain an effective working environment for MHIAE and MHIAE-FR staff members, delivering a high standard of customer-focused and efficient service.
General Duties
-
Provide ICT related technical support to MHIAE and MHIAE-FR staff members
- Assist the staff on day-to-day work with solving computer related troubles, network connectivity, access to folders and performance etc.
- Usage of printers and scanners: Contact suppliers for service issues and supplies
- Information security, Antivirus and incident response
- Help the staff with Microsoft Office and MHI standard application related needs
- Escalate and liaise with MHI Global Helpdesk to resolve incidents

Servers, Cloud Services and Computer Setup and Maintenance:
- Install and configure computers and servers according to MHI standards
- Maintain the Azure cloud services
- Apply the patches and updates when required
- Maintain the logs and required audit/compliance evidences

ERP, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, MS SQL and MHI Applications:
- Help the general setup and usage of MHI corporate ERP applications
- Provide basic user support for Business central and PowerBI
- Support third party vendors with the ERP and SQL infrastructure environment

Setup and configure smartphones and applications:
- Purchase and setup of new phones
- Manage the devices through Mobile Device Management (InTune)
- Help the staff for any phone trouble
- Liaise with Telcom and other vendors for invoicing and monitor the usage

Maintain the inventory of computers, mobile phones, software licenses, network equipment, printer, meeting room equipment etc.

Create Active Directory User IDs, set access control and liaise with MHI HQ ICT for relevant required operations

Help with the remote access through VPN and escalate any issues to MHI helpdesk

Monitor and manage meeting room facilities to ensure the functionalities on daily basis, help staff with their needs and contact vendors for any malfunctions

Data backup, monitoring and report of MHIAE data and SQL databases; restore the data for staff when needed and to ensure business continuity

Knowledge of Information security management best practices, raise the staff awareness by regular information sharing and prevention of data leakage

Support the ICT related and miscellaneous projects of MHIAE

Coverage of Senior ICT manager during absences

Other duties as requested by management, if required

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
Essential
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience within an IT support or technology-focused position.
- Enterprise level IT user support and troubleshooting experience
- Advanced MS server skills, Azure cloud, DevOps
- Client OS knowledge, AD and group policies
- ERP – MS Dynamics, Business central and Navision experience
- DB – MS SQL Server knowledge
- Networking knowledge
- Understanding of recent AI developments and applications
- Data backup, restoration knowledge with the Business Continuity awareness
- Excellent knowledge of all MS Office Products
- Advanced knowledge of iPhone and mobile device management
- Remote working and access knowledge & skills
- Strong customer services ethos
- Good team player
- Strong multicultural negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
Desirable
- Data analytics and Power BI
- Familiarity in Enterprise auditing
- Knowledge of data protection and privacy
- Japanese language
Education:
- IT degree or equivalent
- English and Maths GCSE Grade B or above, or equivalent
- Microsoft certifications or any similar vendor certifications
