About the Role

Reboot Recruit Ltd is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Engineer & Cloud Administrator to join a globally established technology provider. This hybrid role based in St Albans offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic environment supporting a diverse, international user base.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, supporting, and developing the company's internal IT infrastructure, encompassing both on-premises systems and cloud-based solutions. Working closely with the Head of IT Services, the role involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including system administration, infrastructure support, cloud management, and strategic IT projects. This position provides an excellent platform for an IT professional seeking to expand their technical expertise across multiple domains while contributing to the ongoing innovation and efficiency of a forward-thinking organisation.

  • Proven experience providing 1st to 3rd Line support within a structured IT environment.
  • Extensive Microsoft 365 administration experience, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Hyper-V environments.
  • Good understanding of core networking concepts, such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP protocols, and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience supporting Windows 11 desktops, hardware, and enterprise IT environments.
  • Ability to manage infrastructure upgrades, implement system improvements, and provide ongoing operational support.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills to effectively liaise with technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Senior IT Engineer & Cloud Administrator include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing comprehensive support across 1st to 3rd line support levels, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues for end-users.
  • Managing and maintaining Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Administering and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments, including virtual machines, storage, and networking configurations.
  • Maintaining and supporting on-premises infrastructure such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Hyper-V environments.
  • Implementing and managing network services, including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP configurations, to ensure reliable connectivity across the organisation.
  • Planning and executing infrastructure upgrades and system improvements to enhance performance, security, and scalability.
  • Supporting desktop and hardware environments, including Windows 11 and enterprise-level hardware setups.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop IT strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organisational goals.
  • Participating in strategic IT projects, including cloud migrations, infrastructure enhancements, and security initiatives.
  • Documenting systems, processes, and configurations to maintain comprehensive records and facilitate knowledge sharing.
