About The Role
Reboot Recruit Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Engineer & Cloud Administrator to join our client’s dynamic IT team. This pivotal role is based in St Albans with a hybrid working arrangement, offering a competitive salary of 42,550 along with attractive benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and developing the company's internal IT infrastructure, which spans on-premises and cloud environments. Working closely with the Head of IT Services, you will play a key role in maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of the organization’s technology landscape. This position provides a broad, hands-on opportunity to work across a diverse range of technologies, supporting a globally dispersed user base, and contributing to strategic IT projects aimed at enhancing operational capabilities.
The role offers a unique blend of infrastructure support, cloud administration, system improvements, and user support. It is ideal for an experienced IT professional eager to expand their expertise across Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and enterprise infrastructure solutions. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT infrastructure and cloud environments, with relevant experience including:
- Proven experience providing 1st to 3rd Line support within a structured IT environment.
- Extensive Microsoft 365 administration experience, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Hyper-V environments.
- Good understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP networking, and core Microsoft infrastructure technologies.
- Experience supporting Windows 11, desktop hardware, and enterprise IT environments.
- Ability to manage infrastructure upgrades, system improvements, and ongoing operational support.
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Senior IT Engineer & Cloud Administrator include:
- Providing comprehensive 1st to 3rd line support to end-users across multiple locations, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
- Administering and maintaining Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Managing and supporting Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage, and networking configurations.
- Supporting on-premises infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, DNS, and DHCP services.
- Implementing and managing security protocols, backups, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard organizational data and systems.
- Planning and executing infrastructure upgrades, system improvements, and new technology deployments.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic IT initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
- Documenting technical procedures, maintaining system documentation, and providing user training where necessary.
- Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability of IT services.
