IT Engineer

Sheffield (Full-Time, Onsite) | £28,000-£29,000 + Excellent Career Progression

Not every IT role is about sitting on a helpdesk all day.

If you're the person who enjoys getting involved in everything, from Microsoft 365 and networking to automation, infrastructure and security, and you're looking for a business that will invest in your development, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

We're looking for an IT Engineer to join a close-knit technology team supporting around 150 users across the business. You'll be exposed to a huge variety of technologies while taking ownership of technical issues, supporting projects and working alongside experienced infrastructure professionals.

This role would suit you if you've gained experience in an IT support environment perhaps within an internal IT team, an MSP, education or another hands-on technical role.

This is a company that genuinely develops its people. Several members of the IT team started in junior positions before progressing into Infrastructure, 3rd Line and specialist technical roles. You'll work alongside experienced engineers who enjoy mentoring, giving you the opportunity to continually develop your technical skills while gaining exposure to infrastructure, security, cloud technologies and automation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
