About The Role

Reboot Recruit Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Engineer & Cloud Administrator to join our client's dynamic IT team based in St Albans. This role offers a hybrid working environment with a competitive salary of 42,550 plus benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and developing the company's internal IT infrastructure, which spans both on-premises and cloud platforms. Working closely with the Head of IT Services, you will play a vital part in maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of the organization’s technology landscape. This position provides a unique opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of IT functions, including infrastructure support, cloud administration, system enhancements, and strategic projects, all within a globally dispersed user environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT infrastructure and cloud technologies, with relevant certifications and practical experience. Essential qualifications include:

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Hyper-V
  • A solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and core Microsoft infrastructure technologies
  • Experience supporting Windows 11, desktop hardware, and enterprise IT environments
  • Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and stakeholder management experience

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive support across multiple levels, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of IT systems
  • Managing and supporting both cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including configurations, updates, and troubleshooting
  • Administering Microsoft 365 services, managing Azure resources, and supporting Windows Server environments
  • Overseeing infrastructure upgrades, implementing system improvements, and participating in planning and executing IT projects aligned with organizational goals
  • Supporting end-users by resolving technical issues, providing training, and ensuring security protocols are followed
  • Proactively monitoring systems to identify potential issues and implementing preventative measures to maintain operational stability
