We have an opportunity for a talented IT Event Support Technician to join Cadillac Formula 1® Team as part of Event IT Team. In this role, you will be a member of the team providing support to our engineering teams in the factory, in the race operations centre as well as our travelling end-users, employees and guests.

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of the IT solutions that comprise our Ops Room and support Events remotely from there. You will become the lead on freight management within the team, ensuring all air freight and sea freight equipment is maintained and documented correctly as well as ensuring the correct equipment is in the right places at the right times.

  • Setup, support, operate and maintain the IT infrastructure, bespoke applications and supporting solutions that are used during an IT event
  • Support the remote Ops Room at Grand Prix, Test Events and Filming Days. Providing end user IT support to those in attendance
  • Remotely support the traveling IT team where possible. Following detailed checklists to ensure tasks are completed correctly and on time
  • Become the main point of contact for all Ops Room issues and use those issues to drive future improvements
  • Collaborate with other IT and business teams for more complex issues or problems that require higher-level support
  • Propose and lead projects within the Event IT space
  • Take the lead on air freight and sea freight management, ensuring the team have all the necessary equipment at each event

What do we need from you?

  • Relevant experience in a similar role within a motorsport environment
  • Experienced in supporting and implementing LAN, WAN and SD-WAN
  • Basic knowledge in supporting and implementing Windows operating systems (server & client), virtualisation and HCI technologies as well as a working knowledge of Linux based systems
  • Experienced in supporting IT hardware, ranging from end user devices to servers
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven experience of fault finding and problem solving
  • Demonstrate a “can-do” flexible attitude and a “calm head” under pressure
  • Clear and concise communication skills both verbally and digitally
  • Ability to prioritise workloads in a time pressured environment managing personal and team deadlines
  • Ability to work at height
  • Relevant certifications: CCNA, MCP, MCSE, VCP or equivalent

This role could involve extensive travel and offset hours to match the F1® official event calendar.
