About The Role

Synergi Tech is a professional, growth-focused IT Managed Service Provider based in Lincoln. We deliver structured, high-standard IT infrastructure and support services across the East Midlands and Yorkshire.

This is a hands-on deployment role for an engineer who can implement systems accurately and professionally in live business environments. You will work to documented standards and contribute both on-site and in the office as part of a collaborative engineering team.

Important: A full UK driving licence is essential.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Deploy and configure core network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Install and support Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
  • Assist with infrastructure refreshes, hardware rollouts, and site upgrades
  • Deliver on-site troubleshooting and support to clients in live business environments
  • Install UniFi systems and assist with CCTV and access control installations where required
  • Maintain accurate project and support documentation to company standards
  • Represent Synergi Tech professionally on all client sites

Travel & Working Expectations

  • Regular travel across East Midlands and Yorkshire
  • Occasional UK-wide travel for larger projects
  • Overnight stays may be required for multi-day deployments
  • Company vehicle and fuel card provided
  • All approved travel and accommodation expenses covered

When not on-site, you will work from our Lincoln office.

Office-Based Contribution

  • Pre-configuring and staging equipment
  • Stock management and hardware preparation
  • Project preparation and documentation updates
  • Supporting internal technical improvements
  • Assisting other engineers and providing helpdesk/phone support when required

Required Skills And Experience

  • 2+ years' experience in an MSP, IT support, or field-based engineering role
  • Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, firewall basics)
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Ability to work independently on client sites and follow documented standards
  • Professional communication and strong customer-facing approach
  • Full UK driving licence

  • Exposure to firewall platforms such as Sophos or FortiGate
  • Virtualisation knowledge (Hyper-V / VMware)
  • Backup and disaster recovery exposure
  • VoIP deployment or support experience
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, networking, etc.)

Training & Development

We expect solid technical foundations and a professional approach, and we invest in your development. Structured training is provided across networking, Microsoft 365, infrastructure standards, and security systems.

Funded certifications are available where aligned to business growth, with clear progression routes into senior technical roles.
