We currently have an exciting opportunity for an IT Field Engineer to join our IT team, based in Aldridge with national coverage. This role will report directly to the IT Field Service Manager and will be responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support to users across multiple UK locations, ensuring reliable IT services and excellent user experience.
Brief Job Description
- Provide on-site and remote support for end-user devices including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and printers
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues, escalating where appropriate
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based devices, applications, and core productivity tools including Microsoft 365
- Support site-based infrastructure including switches, Wi-Fi access points, cabling, and local servers where applicable
- Complete hardware replacements, upgrades, and asset management tasks
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent IT with a professional, solution-focused approach
- Maintain accurate documentation, service tickets, and site visit reports
- Liaise with the Service Desk and other technical teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents
- Assist other technical teams where required to support wider IT operations

Requirements for the role
- Previous experience in an IT support or field engineering role
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking
- Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Well-organised and able to manage multiple site visits and priorities
- Demonstrates attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
