Job Details

  • Onsite 5 days a week in London Victoria

Job Summary

The IT Intern will work closely alongside the Systems Administrator to support employees in our London Victoria office and wider global IT Function with day-to-day helpdesk activities.

Accountabilities

  • Support cloud deployment activities
  • Organise and maintain the IT workspace and storage areas
  • Identify faulty machines to ensure they are securely wiped
  • Prepare equipment for recycling and wipe decommissioned machines that remain operational
  • Installing Microsoft windows onto laptops
  • Help create and maintain an up-to-date inventory of all laptops
  • Verify that IT equipment is properly allocated to the relevant users and that records remain up to date.
  • Ensure desks are set up correctly, with equipment in place and cables managed neatly and safely.
  • Inspect meeting rooms to confirm that equipment, desk arrangements and cable management meet expected office standards.
  • Train towards providing IT helpdesk cover for the London office.
  • Learn to be an initial point of contact for resolution of desktop/laptop related problems in a 280+ customer enterprise
  • Learn to troubleshoot research, diagnose, document and resolve technical issues surrounding windows 11, MS Office applications, email, other special applications, internet connections and hardware/peripheral equipment
  • Document, track, resolve and report on problem and work orders
  • Assist with office duties; answering the office phone, bringing in guests and deliveries.

  • Work 5 days a week onsite in our London office
  • Relevant qualification degree or CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Certified Fundamentals, or ITIL v4. or equivalent
  • Enjoys problem solving
  • Exceptional customer service, patience, multitasking, and the ability to clearly explain fixes to non-technical users.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in building a high level of knowledge regarding systems, technology, and communications
  • 1st Line experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Personable and approachable demeanour and with strong interpersonal skills.
