Implementation Specialist in Value Chain Management (VCM) – Procurement & Commercial Tools
Salary & Salary Framework
Anywhere within £50,000 – £70,000 (Pay falls within Leonardo UK’s grade-based salary framework, reflecting an approved band benchmarked against external market standards. Exceptions are managed via governance controls to maintain internal equity.)
Your Impact The Value Chain Management (VCM) Programme is a critical digital transformation initiative under Leonardo UK’s Electronics Division, driving efficiency and innovation across our Future Factory strategy.
This role focuses on deploying, configuring, and integrating Procurement and Commercial toolsets, such as SAP Ariba, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems, and supplier collaboration platforms. As an Implementation Specialist, you’ll work closely with stakeholders to deliver seamless implementations, ensuring robust technical foundations for improved supplier engagement, procurement optimisation, and integrated supply chains.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the configuration, upgrade, and integration of SAP Ariba, Azure environments, and associated platforms.
- Validate technical specifications, including APIs, interfaces, data flows, and middleware integrations.
- Contribute to test planning and environment readiness with technical oversight.
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve technical risks, defects, dependencies, and issues.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal experts to validate feasibility and solution integrity.
- Support the Programme Manager in technical planning, estimation, and process improvements.
- Produce high-quality technical specs, integration documentation, and build guides.
- Analyse impact of changes, ensuring controlled and safe implementation across environments.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to drive successful programme outcomes.

What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- Hands-on experience in supplier collaboration platforms, including:
- SAP Ariba
- Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems (e.g., Agiloft)
- Supplier relationship management (SRM) tools
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end integration architectures (e.g., B2B portals, API integrations).
- Ability to navigate SAP ERP systems, middleware, and APIs across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Understanding of data migration principles, data quality controls, and secure information classification (e.g., Official, Official Sensitive).
Must Have:
- Proficiency with software lifecycle and configuration management.
- Experience operating in multivendor/multistakeholder environments.
- Excellent written/verbal communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Procurement Platforms beyond the list above.
- Eagerness to learn new tools, approach problems innovatively, and collaborate effectively.
Security Clearance
- Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is mandatory.
- Additional National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, including eligibility checks for:
- The Security Check (SC)
- Developed Vetting (DV)
