About the Role
Jaguar TCS Racing is scaling electric motorsport innovation, competing in the Formula E Championship as part of Jaguar’s legendary brand. Their mission is to pioneer advancements in electric vehicle technology, sustainability, and performance.
We’re seeking a self-driven IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team, ensuring systems continuity and advancing on-track performance technology.
What You Will Do

Help maintain day-to-day continuity of infrastructure services across:
- R&D
- Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) & Driver-in-Loop (DIL)
- Cloud and Data Processing operations

Take ownership of and coordinate IT hardware movements during test events

Provide on-site IT operations support at track test events across the UK & EU

Monitor and maintain the health & performance of:
- Servers
- Storage
- Connected infrastructure

Deliver day-to-day support for on-premise compute estate, including:
- Active Directory
- Linux and Windows Server (Focus on robust, scalable solutions)

Provide on-premise & remote networking support, including:
- Cisco switches
- Palo-Alto firewalls
- SD-WAN environments

Perform routine updates and patches on:
- Cisco infrastructure
- Palo-Alto firewalls
- Dell infrastructure

Assist with race hardware & pit equipment turnover between seasons

Maintain accurate documentation, including:
- Server configurations
- Firewall processes
- Disaster recovery plans

Offer advanced technical support for server & network-related issues

Drive continuous improvement and embrace new technologies

Ensure compliance with:
- Industry regulations (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus)
- Internal security & compliance policies
- Wider company policy & governance

Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in:
- Server infrastructure
- Security
- Networking
About You
Essential knowledge & experience:
- Strong understanding of networking concepts & protocols
- Experience integrating hybrid-cloud solutions
- Expertise with vSphere virtualisation and hypervisors
- Friendly, approachable disposition
Desirable skills: Knowledge of:
- Hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), particularly Dell VxRail
- Cisco IOS
- Cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Palo-Alto networks & cloud management (Strata-Cloud)
- Storage technologies (SAN, NAS) and RAID configurations
- Fast-paced motorsport environments
