An opportunity has arisen for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.
About the Role
We are looking for a self-driven Infrastructure Engineer with proven experience to join the Jaguar TCS Racing team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring continuity of systems whilst helping deliver new technologies and infrastructure to help ensure success on track.
What You Will Do
- Help ensure day-to-day continuity of infrastructure services at the factory across R&D, HIL, DIL, Cloud, and Data Processing operations
- Take ownership of and coordinate IT hardware movements during test events
- Support IT operations in-person at track test events across the UK & EU
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of servers, storage, and connected infrastructure
- Provide day-to-day support for our on-premise compute estate, including Active Directory, Linux, and Windows Server operating systems, with a focus on robust and scalable solutions
- Provide day-to-day support for on-premise and remote networking estates, including:
- Cisco switches
- Palo-Alto firewalls
- SD-WAN environments
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and firmware upgrades on Cisco, Palo-Alto, and Dell infrastructure
- Assist with turnaround of race hardware and pit equipment between seasons
- Maintain accurate documentation, including:
- Server configurations
- Firewall processes
- Disaster recovery plans
- Provide advanced technical support for server and network-related issues
- Strive to bring continuous improvement and introduce new technology to the team
- Ensure compliance with:
- Industry regulations (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus etc.)
- Internal security and compliance policies
- Wider company policy and governance
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to server infrastructure, security, and networking

About You
Essential
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Experience integrating hybrid-cloud solutions
- Experience with vSphere virtualisation and hypervisor
Desirable
- Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), specifically Dell VxRail
- Proven experience with Cisco IOS
- Baseline knowledge of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
- Knowledge of Palo-Alto networks and cloud management (Strata-Cloud)
- Experience working within a fast-paced motorsport environment
- Knowledge across storage technologies (SAN, NAS) and RAID configurations
