An exciting opportunity has opened up for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join the Jaguar TCS Racing team in a dynamic and rapidly growing work environment.
About The Role
We are looking for a self-driven Infrastructure Engineer with strong technical expertise to support the core IT infrastructure operations essential to our race team success. This role requires you to ensure continuous service availability for R&D, HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), DIL (Driver-in-the-Loop), cloud and data processing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Help ensure day-to-day continuity and reliability of infrastructure services across critical departments.
- Take full ownership of IT hardware logistics during track test events, coordinating movements across the UK & EU.
- Provide in-person IT support at trackside/race events to aid smooth operational continuity.
- Monitor and maintain the health of servers, storage infrastructure, and associated hardware.
- Deliver daily operational support for:
- On-premise compute environments, including Active Directory, Linux, and Windows Server.
- On-premise and remote networking, covering Cisco switches, Palo-Alto firewalls, and SD-WAN.
- Perform routine system updates, patching and firmware upgrades for Cisco, Palo-Alto, and Dell resources.
- Assist with turnaround and maintenance of race hardware/pit equipment between seasons.
- Maintain current documentation of server configurations, firewall policies, and disaster recovery plans.
- Provide fast troubleshooting capacity for complex server and network issues.
- Continuously identify opportunities for improvement, integrating new technologies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with:
- Industry standards (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus).
- Company security policies and governance frameworks.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in server infrastructure, security and networking technologies.

About You
Essential Skills
- Deep understanding of networking protocols and architectures.
- Hands-on experience with hybrid-cloud integration (cloud + on-premise).
- Proficiency in VMware vSphere virtualisation and hypervisors.
- Strong practical experience in server configurations (Linux/Windows Server/@).
- Working knowledge of active directory and identity management.
- Ability to configure and manage routing/switching with Cisco IOS.
- Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage technologies and RAID deployment.
- Friendly, approachable, and collaborative personality.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Dell VxRail (Hyper-Converged Infrastructure).
- Testing/troubleshooting with Paloalto firewalls and Strata-Cloud management.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure or Google Cloud platforms.
- Working experience in motorsport IT/compute environments.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery and replication strategies.
