IT Infrastructure Engineer (Modern Workplace)

About the Role

Reporting to the Program Technical Lead, the role will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise throughout the discovery, design, implementation, and deployment phases of the program. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to conduct current state analysis, design appropriate solutions, and support the seamless transition to the new environment. Additionally, you will be expected to deliver comprehensive documentation and provide knowledge transfer sessions to empower the internal IT team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deployment Support:

    • Assist in the execution of the deployment plan, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to end users.
    • Provide remote support for deployment engineers in our clients' offices.
  • Documentation:

    • Create and maintain technical documentation outlining configurations, processes as required.

  • Knowledge Transfer:
    • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to equip the internal IT team with the skills and knowledge required to manage and support the new environment effectively.

  • Current State Analysis:

    • Contribute to the discovery workshops for the existing environments to inform the design process.
  • Design Support:

    • Provide subject matter expertise to design teams to develop optimal solutions for:
      • Windows 11 migration
      • Intune implementation
      • Autopilot adoption
      • Mobile device migration
      • Windows Hello for Business deployment

Required Experience

  • Extensive experience with:
    • Windows 11 deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
    • SCCM/MECM and Group Policy.
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Intune, including:
      • Policy configuration
      • Application deployment
      • Device management
    • Modern management principles and best practices, including:
      • Cloud-based device management
      • Zero-touch provisioning
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Microsoft Autopilot for device provisioning.
    • Repackaging applications for deployment via Intune.
    • Migrating mobile devices from legacy MDM solutions to Intune.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills, including PowerShellADT.
  • Ability to deploy and configure Windows Hello for Business.
  • Proficiency in conducting a thorough analysis of existing systems and workflows to inform migration strategies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in creating comprehensive documentation and conducting knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Previous law firm experience is desirable.
