Job Title: IT Infrastructure Support Analyst

Our Client, a bank based in Central London, is looking to recruit a bright and talented individual as an IT Infrastructure Support Analyst with circa 5 to 6 years of IT Support experience.

Requirements

  • At least 5 to 6 years hands-on experience within IT Infrastructure, ideally from the Banking or Financial arena.
  • In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting experience with Windows, Office365, and ideally Banking applications and conferencing applications.
  • The Client is rolling out MS Windows 11, so the candidate should have these skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintenance of the IT infrastructure for the Branch and to provide IT support to staff.
  • Assist in the response to service outages and other IT-related problems as well as maintenance and upkeep of the security of the systems in place.
  • Familiarity with core banking systems or financial applications.
  • Provide first/Second level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues and working knowledge of VMWare.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, Phones/Mobiles, and other IT equipment.
  • Laptop imaging experience needed (WIM USB, MDT, SCCM, Intune, AutoPilot) – Image creation, management, and deployments.
  • Assist in user account management in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Sharepoint, Onedrive, Teams, and banking systems.
  • Networking Fundamentals – DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and LAN/WAN.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity measures.
  • Perform routine system backups and assist with disaster recovery operations.
  • Monitor system performance and report abnormalities to senior IT staff.
  • Assist with software updates, patches, and antivirus management.
  • Exposure to the following Fortinet solutions – fortigate, forticlient VPN, Symantec Endpoint Protection & Encryption, Bitlocker, SentinelOne, Cisco Switches, Tenable, Group policy, ManageEngine, Nagios, MFA.
  • Document IT procedures and maintain technical documentation relating to the role.

  • Proficient in common operating systems (Linux – Redhat & Ubuntu, Windows OS – Win10 & 11).
  • Software proficiency – 0365, Sharepoint, and Teams – Banking Applications.
  • Networking (IT).
  • Proficient in programming languages & Automation (good to have).
  • Project management.
  • Data analysis.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • AV Support.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.

Location

  • The Client is based in Central London.
  • This is a hybrid role with at least 3 days a week in the office in Central London.

Salary

  • The salary for this position will be circa £40K - £45K.
