We're looking for an experienced, hands-on IT Manager to join a business going through an exciting period of technology transformation.

This isn't a traditional IT management role focused purely on service delivery, nor is it a pure Solutions Architect position. We're looking for someone who enjoys staying close to the technology while helping shape the future of the organisation's systems, infrastructure and applications.

You'll take ownership of the technology environment, ensuring business-critical systems remain secure, integrated and efficient, while identifying opportunities to automate processes, improve user experience and deliver smarter technology solutions.

  • Manage and continuously improve the technology environment.
  • Lead systems integration across cloud and on-premise platforms.
  • Automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure applications, infrastructure and data work seamlessly together.
  • Act as the technical lead for technology improvement projects.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions.
  • Manage relationships with MSPs, software vendors and technology partners.
  • Support AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Oversee API integrations and business applications.
  • Drive technology upgrades, migrations and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain governance, documentation and security best practices.
  • Explore automation and AI opportunities to improve business performance.

Iโ€™m in my final year doing Economics and I donโ€™t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer โ€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donโ€™t need a masters. Letโ€™s look at the ones youโ€™d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet โ€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
