General Summary
The IT Manager for Data Analytics is an IT professional who harnesses the power of data to develop new business models, improve productivity, and accelerate business results through data-based insights. This individual:
- Partners with business teams to document mapping tables, business rules, and business logic required to transform transactional data into analytical data of value.
- Provides leadership in managing the analytics platform, ensuring data models, pipelines, and BI infrastructure are designed, governed, and operationally reliable.
- Delivers dashboards, scorecards, standard reports, ad hoc self-service reports, discovery and analysis, predictive analytics, and visualizations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish strong, productive relationships with all stakeholders.
- Define and maintain the governance structure for Data and Analytics, including prioritization, sequencing of work, and resource allocation.
- Translate BI and analytics needs into requirements by conducting requirements-gathering sessions with key functions, including Finance, Product Management, Commercial, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Supply Chain.
- Lead a team of approximately four technical professionals, delivering projects and supporting digital infrastructure and low-code platforms (e.g., Power Apps).
- Manage the talent lifecycle, including hiring, retaining, developing, training, and mentoring technical staff.
- Lead deployment in ETL, MDM, data modelling, data transformation, and analytics reporting.
- Analyze opportunities for enhancements, resolving issues via collaboration with business and technology partners.
- Design, implement, and deploy enterprise business solutions supporting profitable growth and process maturity.
- Define engagement success criteria, monitor progress, and ensure ** deliverables meet expectations**.
- Ensure data security, access control, and compliance with corporate policies.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and technology partners.
- Design, support, and enhance the corporate data warehouse and associated data models.
- Identify and implement improvements to BI infrastructure, evaluating and adopting new technologies aligned with the long-term roadmap.
- Create documentation for business users and IT team members.
- Deliver executive and operational dashboards, reports, discovery analysis, and predictive analytics.
- Maintain and manage the Data & Analytics budget, ensuring alignment with priorities, cost efficiency, and resource utilization.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Technical Requirements:
- Understanding of databases, analytics technologies, ETL/ELT, and visualization tools.
- Ability and willingness to lead low-code development teams (e.g., Power Apps/Power Platform).
Preferred Qualifications
- Power BI, Microsoft reporting technologies, and data mining.
- SAP data structures: SAP Basis, SAP transactions, SAP XI, and iDocs.
- SAP BODS/SAP Data Services (ETL/MDM workflows).
- SAP Information Steward.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Pipelines, Warehouse, Semantic Models).
- Exposure to AI/advanced analytics, including predictive modelling, ML, and responsible AI practices.
- Hours of Power Apps/Power Platform development.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in:
- Data and Analytics technologies in large corporate environments.
- Data integration, modelling, and BI/reporting platforms.
- Enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Microsoft data platforms).
- Preferable experience:
- Leading technical teams or managing analytics/BI resources.
