About The Role
The IT Network Engineer role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team supporting multiple marina sites across the UK. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the company's network infrastructure. This includes participating in significant projects such as the deployment of full fibre broadband connectivity, ensuring reliable and high-speed internet access across all locations. The role requires a proactive individual with a passion for networking and problem-solving, capable of providing onsite support and working collaboratively within a close-knit team.

Qualifications
- Solid foundation in networking principles, with practical experience in IP addressing, VLAN configuration, and router management
- Familiarity with DNS and domain resolution
- Experience or awareness of Microsoft 365 applications, including Office 365 and Intune, as well as general server infrastructure—preferably in a Windows Server environment—is highly desirable
- Valid UK driving licence required
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Comfortable working onsite full-time at either Largs or Troon, Scotland
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite end-user IT support across multiple marina locations, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly and effectively
- Participate in infrastructure projects, including the installation and configuration of full fibre broadband and other network upgrades
- Support the maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of core network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware and connectivity issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency
- Travel to other marina sites as required, with expenses paid, to carry out installations, maintenance, and support activities
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement network security protocols and best practices
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and incident reports
