Quarriers has an exciting opportunity for an IT Operations and Security Analyst to help deliver reliable, secure and customer-focused technology services across our organisation. You will provide day-to-day support and maintenance for our IT infrastructure, cloud services, networking and telephony, while contributing to the cyber security and resilience of our systems.
More about the role
Working as part of the IT Operations and Support Team, and closely with the Head of Information Technology, you will support the delivery of secure, effective technology services that meet organisational priorities and user needs. You will help maintain security controls, investigate and resolve technical issues, support recovery and continuity arrangements, and contribute to service improvements and IT projects.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 35 hours per week. It is delivered in line with our agile working policy, blending home working with office time and service visits, with an office base available at our Head Office in Glasgow.

Key responsibilities
- Provide effective technical support, problem solving and advice to users across Scotland, including service visits where required.
- Help keep our infrastructure, cloud services, networking, telephony, devices and core systems running securely and reliably.
- Support our cyber security arrangements, including patching, vulnerability management, access controls, monitoring and incident response.
- Contribute to backup, recovery, business continuity, audit and compliance activity, helping us stay resilient and well prepared.
- Share your technical knowledge with colleagues, support more complex issues and help improve how our services are delivered.
Essential experience and skills
- Experience supporting Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint Online and related administration tools.
- Good experience supporting IT infrastructure, including networking, telephony, hardware, software and cloud services.
- Experience working with IT service management processes such as incident, problem and change management.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, identity and access management, MFA and related security controls.
- Experience helping maintain cyber security controls, including patching, vulnerability remediation, access control, monitoring and endpoint protection.
- Confidence troubleshooting technical issues across a range of systems in a busy operational environment.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to work well with technical and non-technical colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers.
- A structured and practical approach to problem solving, documentation and improving services.
- Driving licence is essential with access to your own car
