An IT Operations Specialist
As an IT Operations Specialist, you will be the primary support point of contact for the UK Cohere office. This role supports global IT operations, including first-line assistance for employees worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Be the primary support contact for the UK Cohere office
- Provide first-response support for all IT requests from Cohere employees globally during your shift
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems
- Train employees in our tools and systems (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, etc.)
- Collaborate with the People Ops team to smoothly onboard and offboard employees
- Order and track laptop shipments globally for new hires and returns
- Oversee in-office networking and A/V requirements, continuously optimizing and improving the setup
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment (cycle counts, purchasing, etc.) for local and remote employees
- Update and document IT procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Provide first-level support for office WiFi networks (routers, switches, WAPs)
- Offer premium support to C-suite stakeholders
- Deliver on-site A/V support for events (podcasts, conference calls, microphones, speakers)
- Navigate agile priorities, balancing needs like laptop troubleshooting, remote device fleet monitoring, video conference assistance, and new hire onboarding

Ideal Candidates

- You have frustrated success in supporting Mac Workstations, Google Workspace, and Slack
- You have expertise in Okta, preferably certified as an Okta Certified Professional or Administrator
- You possess scripting experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
- You’re knowledgeable about cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations (GsDD)
- You’re a technology enthusiast who loves tinkering
- You’re comfortable with Google Meet support, Crestron, room schedulers with a solid networking foundation (Wi-Fi, routers, and switches)
- You thrive in high-energy environments and love solving technical challenges
- You’re organized, proactively thoughtful, and eager to document processes
- You clearly communicate and understand customer service (enabling end-users)
