IT Project Manager Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) – Supported Sizewell C

About the Role

As part of the Civil Works Alliance (CWA)—which supports the construction of Sizewell C—an advanced 3.2-gigawatt clean energy power station capable of powering 6 million homes, you will work in the Alliance IT and Digital Team. This role focuses on ensuring the Alliance partners have the tools and technology they need to deliver on key objectives.
What You Will Do
As the IT Project Manager, you will report to the Alliance IT Programme Manager and play a pivotal role in supporting partners with IT needs, including:
- Validating the right technology for Alliance requirements.
- Ensuring smooth deployment of approved systems for all partners.
- Applying traditional project management techniques across the IT lifecycle, from initiation to handover.
- Co-ordinating work with partner IT teams while managing a segmented delivery approach in line with project plans.
Principal Accountabilities & Key Responsibilities
- Work across the Alliance IT Team, partner IT teams, and end stakeholders in IT and business engagements.
- Activities include:
- Preparing internal/external reports and managing stakeholder communications.
- Implementing scope, information, and configuration management best practices.
- Providing data-driven decision-making—ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Developing actionable plans to meet team and project objectives.
- Logging and escalating unresolved issues while monitoring KPIs and performance.
- Balancing operational constraints, commercial expectations, and project control metrics.
- Advocating for reliable digital data and efficient, productive project outcomes.

What We Are Looking For
Key Requirements & Experience
- A proven track record of delivering IT projects with credible results.
- Strong familiarity with standard forms of commercial and statutory contracts.
- Proficient in project/commercial communications (clear, structured thoughts in written/verbal formats).
- Experience assessing and implementing safe working systems.
- Exceptional team management and mentoring skills, driving engagement and alignment.
- Commercial acumen and ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
- Strong analysis skills including knowledge of performance evaluation and KPIs.
- A solution-oriented mindset, with confidence in solving complex problems while aligning to end goals.
